Job Monitoring View

The Job Monitoring view displays the list of all jobs that have been created in the CData Virtuality Server.

There are different Job types

• Cleanup job: a system Job to clean stale Replication Tables.
• Optimization job: copies data from Data Source tables that are targeted by an Optimization fully or incrementally. It can be created in the Optimization View
• Statistical job: gathers a Data Source's statistics, such as row & column cardinalities to calculate Optimizations. It can be created in the Data Explorer
• SQL job: executes a predefined SQL script or statement.

To create a new SQL job click the green plus button in the top left corner.

Jobs can be scheduled to run once or periodically. To see all current or previous job executions, please open the Job History view by clicking on the appropriate toolbar icon.

Right-Click on a job to:

• Run it just once: an appropriate run-once schedule will be created and removed after the job execution has finished
• Stop job: asks the server to stop the selected job. This option is only present on running jobs
• Show history: to show all executions of the selected job in Job History view
• Add Schedule: to schedule a the Job execution
• Edit Job: to change the Job's details
• Find Optimization: to find the Recommended Optimization the job belongs to

To find a particular Job faster, please use the text filter or the column filters.

The text filter will only show Jobs whose attributes contain the text entered. When text filter is used, schedules assigned to particular job will be shown.

The column filtering can be accessed by right-clicking a particular column. Depending on the data type of the column, different filtering options will be shown and can be selected by clicking on them. Some column filters also contain a text filter that can be used to display only the rows that contain the entered text. Multiple columns can have an active filter simultaneously, in which case only rows that match the criteria of all filters will be displayed.
When column filter is used, schedules will only be shown if they match filter-criteria.
